Demarest Farm, located in Hillsdale, New Jersey, was established in 1886 by George Washington Demarest. Peter, Marsha, and P.J., the 4th and 5th generations are now operating the 35 acre farm.
The diversified operation has 1500 peach trees, 300 nectarine trees, 1800 apple trees, plus a scattering of plum and cherry trees. When it comes to vegetables, Demarest Farm grows it all. Tomatoes, corn, broccoli, beans, squash, peppers, eggplant, and pumpkins are just some of the abundant crops harvested.
The 10,000 square foot colonial red barn farm market features a scratch bakery, the best salad bar in Bergen County, gifts and gourmet items and "Greenhouse Dining" when the weather gets cold.
The 3.5 acre market complex welcomes you before you even get inside the store with the massive perennial gardens, picnic groves, and soothing waterfall.
