Bergen County offers many historical landmarks and museums one can visit to remember the soldiers who defended our country.
In River Vale, there is the Baylor Massacre site. The site signifies the remembrance of the slayings of the Continental Dragoons.
Cresskill has Camp Merritt, known as the largest US Army stopping point during World War I.
The Steuben House is located in River Edge. It is the mansion granted to Steuben, Inspector General of Continental troops during the Revolutionary War.
In Hohokus, there is the Hermitage site, which has a great Revolutionary War history.
